Last Friday (March 27), we proudly opened the Blue + Pink >>> Rethink! Exhibition @designxport in Hamburg’s Harbour City.

The event started wit the panel discussion “Gender Talk” featuring Prof. Dr. Gesa Ziemer (Professor for Cultural Theory and Cultural Practice and vice president of research at HafenCity University, Hamburg) our very own founding member Tanja Godlewsky, Designer, executive associate FRAM Büro für Konzept und Design, Köln), Björn Welzel (executive associate Fritz Classen, Hamburg) Christian Schüten (Designer, associate BFGF Design Studios, Hamburg),  moderated by Prof. Dr. Uta Brandes and Dr. Babette Peters. Soon, the audience contributed to a discussion full of  intelligent comments, critical perspectives and controversial statements. So, the intention of the exhibition and the talk came off completely. Prior to the opening of the exhibition, curator Uta Brandes gave a short, enjoyable introduction to general questions of gender and design, followed by a breathtaking performance of Katja Trinkwalder’s and Paul Claussen’s concept fashion “amorphé”.

Last but not least, we want to thank the wonderful team at designxport, Anja Heinemann and of course, Dr. Babette Peters.

The exhibition will be in Hamburg until April 18, then, we are looking forward to set >>>Rethink! up at designtransfer in Berin.
