What do dying people need on their last journey? What gives them a sense of comfort? What role(s) do the people around the dying person play within this process? Designer and design professor Bitten Stetter has intensely studied the situation of patients and caregivers, relatives and doctors in palliative care facilities. She discovered needs and gaps that she wants close with her collection “finally.” This year’s iphiGenia Gender Design Award in the category “Evolution” goes to Bitten Stetter and her team with their brand “finally.” for their empathetic de-tabooing of dying processes through design.
