Recommendation Committee iphiGenia

The Recommendation Committee iphiGenia (RCi) is looking for gender-sensitive design throughout the world and submits the findings to the jury of the Gender Design Award.

The recommendation committee was appointed to ensure that the quality and diversity of projects, companies and institutions suitable for an Gender Design Award will not only be maintained, but will also be expanded.

The award recognises designers, agencies and companies who position themselves against stereotypes and for gender-sensitive design with design projects or overall business concepts defined by innovative approaches and excellent aesthetics.

Dr. Hanna Wirman

is an Assistant Professor at the School of Design of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University where she teaches game design and social design. Her research focuses on marginal game audiences, gender, and on players’ participation in game creation before and after release. The Finish-born expert lives in Hong Kong.

Prof. Dr. Barbara Vinken

is Full Professor and Chair of Comparative and French Literature at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU), Munich. She lives in Munich.

Dr. Kajsa G. Eriksson

is a Professor of Visual Art with specialization in Forms of Visual Art at the HDK-Valand Academy of Art and Design, Gothenburg University, Sweden. She holds a PhD in Design and runs the independent collaborative arts-based research studio Vague Research Studios.
